George Mahood is an award-winning writer.
Specifically, he came third in the village fetes limerick competition (under 11s category) in 1988. It was the same year that Mrs Marriotts legendary fruit loaf was beaten in the WI cake contest for the first time in six years.

He is the author of seven non-fiction books and lives in Devon with his wife, three children, and an assortment of pets.
